2008:
Jan - Feb - Mar - Apr - May - Jun - Jul - Aug - Sep - Oct - Nov - Dec
March 28-30, 2008 –
Paranormal Investigators and Ghost Enthusiasts from around the nation will
descend upon the small town of Volcano, California – and for one weekend, more
than double the population of 105.Conference participants will have the
opportunity to investigate the historic St George Hotel,
http://www.stgeorgehotel.com ,
as well as numerous other local businesses and historic landmarks. Volcano was
founded by the soldiers of Colonel Stevenson who mined Soldier's Gulch. The area
was rich in gold and soon brought a large number of miners. In 1855, hydraulic
mining brought thousands more into the town, and soon Volcano had 17 hotels,
theatres, and libraries. The town, located in a deep cup valley in the
mountains, was named by miners who thought it was located in a volcanic crater.
Today, the miners are gone...but many believe some of Volcano's most famous
inhabitants from over a century ago remain in ghostly form - and make themselves
known to visitors on a regular basis. For one weekend only, the entire town will
be ours to investigate.
